Vegan Almond Basil Pesto

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1 clove fresh garlic
  • 1/2 juice of lemon
  • 1/2 cup toasted almonds
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt & pepper or to taste

Method
 

  1. Place basil, garlic, lemon juice, almonds, and olive oil into a food processor and allow the mixture to blend until it becomes a smooth paste. You may need to mix things up with a spoon to get the mixture going.
  2. Drizzle more oil if necessary
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste
